Mark Fiedor
(Varsity Coach)

Mark has lived in the Boston area since 1981. After playing at Bowie High, Maryland's largest public school, Fiedor was recruited to play for Boston University by then Terrier head coach Rick Pitino.
He spent the next 2 years playing for Pitino and started at center for the BU championship team of 1983. Pitino moved on following Mark’s sophomore year and was replaced by John Kuester , the current head assistant of the New Jersey Nets.
Following his college career, Mark worked as a minister in the city of Boston for 3 ˝ years and after spending 7 years away from the game, volunteered his coaching services to Lance Tucker, and the Brookline program for the 92-93 season. Fiedor coached the freshman boys for 3 years and the junior varsity for 4 years, before taking over for the departing Tucker in May of 2001.
“There is no other job on the planet I would rather have,” Fiedor commented. “As a coach, the goal is to have a program that is committed to excellence. We are working to develop players who are worthy of respect on and off the court, committed to the classroom and prepared to step up and play college basketball if they so choose.”
Mark was honored with the Boston Globe Coach of the Year award for Division 1 in 2002, his first year at the helm of the Varsity. This followed the Warriors 23-2 run to the state finals. He also received the Massachusetts Basketball Coaches Association Coach of the Year award for 2004 in the south section of the state, after the teams 21-5 run to the state finals. Fiedor has a degree in mechanical engineering and a Masters in education. He currently teaches 4 math classes and co-directs PREP, a program dedicated to helping students with complex learning issues. Mark has been married for 16 years to Valerie (Williams) and has 3 kids, Gabrielle (10), Skyler (8) and Austin (4). He currently resides in Braintree.

Jerry Etienne
(Junior Varsity Coach)

Jerry Etienne enters his second year as JV coach after leading last years team to the co-championship of the Bay State League. Jerry had an outstanding career as a high school player, at Brookline. Helping lead the team to a co-conference Bay State Title his senior year and an appearance in the south sectional finals. He was co-captain and the James Cradle Award recipient. He then went on to a stellar career at Emmanuel College, helping them establish the men's basketball program. Winner of the Unsung Hero Award, as the player willing to do whatever it takes to win, as well as being named to the all tournament 1st team his senior year, Coach Etienne established the school records for assists, assists in a season, and steals in a game. Coach Etienne also was the recipient of the Academic Award for the player with the highest gpa.He currently works as a guidance counselor at Newton North High School.
"Jerry is one of the biggest pluses we could ever ask for at BHS basketball. He's played here for the Warriors and has great pride in this school and contributing as a player to the winning tradition. . .and now as a coach. He loves the game and the players he coaches. He also has a keen eye for scouting and evaluating talent. Jerry's work ethic in improving as a coach, contributing to the program, and looking for ways to help players advance their skills, are areas that jump out when you are around him. Huge impact on our basketball family."

David Ford
(Freshman Coach)

Dave Ford is originally from Connecticut where he attended Sacred Heart High in his hometown of Waterbury. After high school Dave attended Johnson & Wales University in Providence, RI where he played basketball and received a degree in Culinary Arts. He then attended the University of New Haven where he received his Bachelors Degree in Management.
After college Dave taught math and culinary arts at Kaynor Technical High School in Waterbury, CT while head freshman basketball coach and assistant varsity baseball coach.
Ford joined the Warriors coaching staff five years ago as and assistant to Fiedor and the JV team and later spent two years assisting the varsity before taking over the freshman head coaching position for the 03-04 season.
“Dave is a tireless worker who knows the kids and expects a full effort. He is the ultimate team player who really is looking out for the best interests of the entire Brookline program,” says Fiedor. “He knows what I want from the kids and I trust him fully to teach that mentality to the incoming freshman.”
Currently, David is a Culinary Arts teacher at BHS and has had past co-coaching experience with the Brookline Freshman Baseball program.
Dave resides in N. Attleboro with his wife and 2 sons.
