On Tuesday night at Schluntz, order Brookline turned an 11 point halftime lead into a 19 point lead after the 3rd quarter and cruised home to a 53-39 victory over Weymouth. Arinze Obiora led the way with 19 points and 5 rebounds. On Friday night, this site the Warriors found themselves down 5 with 2:06 to play before a Jack Moyer 3, a steal and a layup by Nathaniel Bekele, and two Tyler Patterson baskets sealed a 52-47 win over a stubborn and much improved Framingham squad. Warriors Split for the Week

Heading into January on a 3 game winning streak, page the Brookline Warriors followed up a 52-34 victory over Braintree on Tuesday night with a 60-47 loss to archrival Newton North. The Braintree win was spurred by 8 3-pointers and excellent defense (the Wamps were held to 16 points over the first 3 quarters). Senior captain Jack Moyer led the way with 15 points. Warriors Head into New Year with 3 Wins

After a 2-2 start, pilule Brookline Boys' Basketball ripped off 3 wins in 4 days to head into the new year at 5-2. The Warriors won 2 games at the IAABO Board 27 tournament in Malden, click a 73-63 win over St. Clement (ranked #22 in the state in the ESPN Boston preseason poll) and a 62-49 win over host Malden. In the St. Clement game, the Warriors broke open a tied game at halftime behind 25 points from Ronan Schwarz and 17 from Arinze Obiora. Against Malden, 9 Warriors scored in a game in which Brookline led by as many as 25 before a late Malden run closed the gap. Schwarz was named to the all-tournament team. The Warriors concluded 2014 with a 51-34 comeback victory over Boston Latin. Jack Moyer led all scorers with 11 points. Warriors Start 2-2

After dropping an opening night decision to #1 Catholic Memorial, hospital the Brookline Warriors had a strong opening week in conference play, rx winning on the road at Walpole 56-47 behind Jack Moyer's 17 points and Ronan Schwarz's 14. They followed that up with a strong 54-34 victory over Wellesley, a game in which 9 Warriors scored. Brookline went into the holiday on a low note, however, falling 54-44 at home to #8 Needham. Tryout Information

The freshman will go from 3:15-5:15, while the upper three classes will go from 5:15-7:30. In order to be cleared to tryout, a player must be registered with the BHS athletic office and must have handed in a physical exam. Fall Youth Skills Clinics

Once again this fall, remedy the Brookline Warriors Boys' Basketball program will be conducting skills clinics in Schluntz Gymnasium for players ages 8-14. The clinics will be held from 7:00-8:30 every Wednesday night in October (5 nights, health beginning October 1), and will be conducted by head coach Luke Day and coaches from the Brookline Basketball staff. Current Brookline players will also be on hand to demonstrate skills and drills and to coach and encourage the younger players. Cost is $25 per session, but only $100 for all 5 sessions if a player signs up ahead of time. All proceeds go to the Muddy River Boosters, the Boys Basketball booster club. Beantown Slam Fall League

Brookline- After watching the backcourts dominate the action for three-and-a-half quarters, Breast Brookline High center Obi Obiora took over down the stretch, scoring nine points in the final four minutes to lead the Warriors to a 59-50 win over Needham on Friday, Dec. 14, at the Schluntz Gym. The victory evened Brookline’s record to 1-1, following a 46-40 loss at Boston Latin to open the season. Moyer, Schwarz Head to Germany

On August 15, visit web Brookline Warriors Jack Moyer and Ronan Schwarz will be heading to Germany with the Greater Boston All Stars for two weeks of basketball competition and cultural immersion. The team, purchase made up of players from throughout Eastern and Central Massachusetts, vitamin will be coached by Westwood head coach Steven St. Martin, who played professionally in Germany for five seasons, and Westwood assistant Mike Normant, a Brookline HS social studies teacher. The players will be staying with host families in Vilsbiburg, about an hour northeast of Munich, but will travel to a number of cities and towns to compete against local teams and to take in the sights. Brookline Welcomes the International Colonials

Brookline will once again this year be participating in the Wally Seaver High School Invitational tournament, prostate held at Mass Premier Courts in Foxboro on Saturday & Sunday, buy more about Jun 28 & 29. This is the 3rd year for the tournament, which is held to honor the memory of Coach Paul “Wally” Seaver and to benefit the fight against ALS. Brookline goes into this year's tournament as the defending champion, having defeated Catholic Memorial in last year’s championship game. Here is Brookline’s  schedule for pool play:

Saturday: 3:15 vs. Wachusett, 5:45 vs. Lexington

Sunday: 10:00 vs. North Attleboro

Brookline will continue on in the playoff round on Sunday if it finishes in the top 2 in its pool.

For the second straight year, try an international team – 11 players from 10 different countries – will be in Brookline and participating in our summer league. The team is sponsored by the New England Colonials International Basketball Club, page a non-profit program that provides opportunities for competition and friendship between high school basketball players from New England and their peers from other countries. On Wednesday, approved July 9, at 7:00, the Colonials will participate in a combined workout with players from Brookline and other summer league teams. On Thursday, July 10, Brookline will tip off with the Colonials at 8:00, capping a full evening of summer league games. There is no admission charge. Come out and see some great basketball and support both the Brookline Boys Basketball and the New England Colonials programs.
